People Operations Generalist

About the role

The People Operations Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and People Operations programs. This role partners with leaders and employees to deliver a positive employee experience while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment regulations. This position is an on-site role located at 14959 Jacintoport Blvd, Suite #200, Houston, TX 77015.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related guidance.
• Assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Administer benefits, leave programs, and HR policies.
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data accuracy.
• Support local recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
• Support performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Prepare HR reports and assist with HR projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist or related HR role.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ADP.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
• Must be willing to travel to other out‑of‑state facilities – approximately 15% travel.
• Bilingual preferred.
