About the role
The People Enablement Specialist, Benefits supports the effective delivery of U.S. benefits administration by ensuring accurate plan operations, strong employee support, and reliable coordination across internal teams, payroll, and external vendors. This role supports compliance, data integrity, Open Enrollment readiness, and continuous process improvement while helping deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience. The position works within established procedures, applies sound judgment in daily execution, and escalates complex issues appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of escalation for U.S. employee inquiries and route complex matters appropriately.
- Draft and distribute employee communications, including new hire materials, enrollment communications, and required regulatory notices.
- Support employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, changes, and terminations.
- Respond to employee questions with clarity, responsiveness, and a focus on a positive employee experience.
- Deliver benefits presentations, orientation sessions, and educational workshops in hub locations as needed.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
General Administration & Compliance
- Administer U.S. health, welfare, and retirement plans with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and service quality.
- Support compliance activities, including annual filings, audits, testing, and required notices, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Perform routine audits across payroll, HRIS, and vendor systems, and escalate discrepancies for resolution.
- Prepare and track reports on participation, utilization, and operational trends to support informed decision-making.
- Support invoice review and funding validation for U.S. benefit programs.
Annual Open Enrollment (OE)
- Support U.S. Open Enrollment planning and execution, including testing, vendor coordination, and system readiness.
- Assist with plan configuration, eligibility file management, and rate updates across HRIS, payroll, and carrier platforms.
- Help develop employee-facing communications and intranet content to support enrollment understanding and participation.
- Provide employee support during enrollment and assist with post-enrollment reconciliation and issue resolution.
Eligibility & Data Integrity
- Maintain accurate, current benefits content on internal knowledge and self-service platforms.
- Promote self-service tools and process improvements that enhance employee access and reduce administrative burden.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Three or more years of experience supporting U.S. employee benefits administration.
- Working knowledge of health and welfare benefits and 401(k) administration.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now and SuccessFactors.
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and follow-through.
- Effective communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
