About the role

The People & Culture Recruiter/Generalist supports recruiting, onboarding, team member operations, compliance, and culture initiatives across all five brands. This role manages full-cycle recruitment for non-leadership positions and supports day-to-day People & Culture processes. The Recruiter/Generalist serves as a key point of contact for candidates and new team members while helping ensure a positive, consistent, and compliant team member experience across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
    • Manage full-cycle recruitment for non-leadership positions across all five brands, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
    • Review applications, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate virtual and onsite interviews with hiring managers.
    • Manage day-to-day ATS activity, recruiting platforms, job postings, sponsored advertising, and candidate assessment processes.
    • Coordinate offer letters, background checks, MVRs, drug screenings, DOT physicals, and other pre-employment requirements.
    • Manage temporary workforce staffing and communication with staffing agency partners.
  • Onboarding & Team Member Operations
    • Own and coordinate the Orientation Day process and support new team members throughout onboarding.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for new team members, assisting with onboarding paperwork, benefits enrollment, system setup, and routine questions.
    • Assist with day-to-day ADP functions, including hiring, terminations, PTO updates, system access, timeclock management, pay profiles, and approved timecard and payroll adjustments.
    • Ensure new hires meet applicable insurance approval requirements.
  • Compliance & Administration
    • Coordinate and administer random drug and alcohol testing processes in accordance with established DOT/FMCSA procedures.
    • Coordinate FMLA and workers’ compensation documentation and administrative requirements, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
    • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready team member records and documentation.
  • Culture & Team Member Experience
    • Support team member recognition, engagement, wellness, communication, and culture initiatives across all brands.
    • Maintain a professional, approachable, and accessible presence while promoting organizational values and a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, People & Culture, Human Resources, or a related function preferred.
  • Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and team member administration preferred.
  • Experience with ATS, HRIS, recruiting platforms, or similar technologies; ADP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA requirements or experience supporting a regulated workforce is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Professional, approachable, collaborative, and people-focused mindset.

Work Conditions

  • Environment: A mix of office and warehouse environments with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Travel: Work is concentrated in Cleveland and Fort Lauderdale, with limited travel to outside markets such as Columbus, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Miami, and Orlando.
