About the role

We have the opportunity for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment where no two days are the same. If you are a strategic thinker, capable of aligning People objectives with business goals and happy to be hands-on, this role could be for you.

  • Collaborate with ease across diverse departments to implement our people initiatives that support the company's growth and success.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on HR-related matters and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with managers to address employee relations issues, performance management, and talent development.
  • Drive organisational change initiatives and support the execution of HR programs.
  • Partner with the recruitment team to attract, select, and onboard top talent aligned with business needs.
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends to make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions on various HR-related topics to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • No matter what it is, you're always ready to roll your sleeves up.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a P&C Business Partner or similar role in a blue-collar/unionised environment, with knowledge of HR/IR functions and best practices; experience in the Aviation industry is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and handle sensitive HR issues with professionalism in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Must be willing to travel to other states as required.
