Requirements

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations matters, and policy questions.
  • Assist managers with performance management, coaching, and workplace concerns.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to support business objectives and workforce planning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Aid in benefits enrollment, leave administration, administration and workers' compensation processes.
  • Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Partner with People Team colleagues and Talent Team colleagues to ensure consistency in People Team programs and practices.
  • Conduct and document ADA interactive process meetings for reasonable accommodations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of employee labor law, including but not limited to: leave compliance, wage and hour, meal and rest break laws and required postings.
  • Partner with external employment counsel on employment-related risk management.
  • Support proper FLSA classification and wage compliance.
  • Maintain compliant personnel files, HRIS data accuracy, and confidentiality protocols.
  • Process employment status changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Assist with drafting, revising and implementing company policies and employee handbooks with the People Team leaders and legal support.
  • Participate in People Team projects, audits, and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of HR generalist experience, required.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations, desirable.
  • Knowledge of wage and hour laws, leave management, and employee relations investigations, desirable.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (ADP or similar platforms preferred).
  • Working knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
