Requirements
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations matters, and policy questions.
- Assist managers with performance management, coaching, and workplace concerns.
- Collaborate with operations leaders to support business objectives and workforce planning.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
- Aid in benefits enrollment, leave administration, administration and workers' compensation processes.
- Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
- Partner with People Team colleagues and Talent Team colleagues to ensure consistency in People Team programs and practices.
- Conduct and document ADA interactive process meetings for reasonable accommodations.
- Maintain working knowledge of employee labor law, including but not limited to: leave compliance, wage and hour, meal and rest break laws and required postings.
- Partner with external employment counsel on employment-related risk management.
- Support proper FLSA classification and wage compliance.
- Maintain compliant personnel files, HRIS data accuracy, and confidentiality protocols.
- Process employment status changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Assist with drafting, revising and implementing company policies and employee handbooks with the People Team leaders and legal support.
- Participate in People Team projects, audits, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of HR generalist experience, required.
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations, desirable.
- Knowledge of wage and hour laws, leave management, and employee relations investigations, desirable.
- Experience working with HRIS systems (ADP or similar platforms preferred).
- Working knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
