About the role

The People Partner (HR Business Partner) role is pivotal in supporting our Midwest offices and contributing to national HR initiatives. This position requires 3-4 days per week in office presence and individuals will be required to travel to other offices throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania on a regular cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding - Support onboarding and orientation processes, facilitate new employee integration and retention strategies, lead local campus events, support Campus Recruiting.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management - Serve as a trusted advisor, address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, promote a positive work environment, support performance management processes.
  • Compliance & Policy Management - Ensure compliance with employment laws, manage investigations and employee separations.
  • HR Operations & Systems - Maintain accurate records in HRIS (Workday experience preferred), generate reports.
  • Culture, Engagement & Development - Support inclusion and employee engagement initiatives, collaborate with Learning & Development to identify training needs, promote firm-wide programs and events.
  • Strategic HR Partnership - Collaborate with cross-functional HR functions, provide insights from HR data to inform business decisions, support organizational change and workforce planning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a professional services or accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HCM systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PHIR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
