PEO Client HR Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for PEO clients.
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with business owners and client leadership teams.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review HR initiatives, workforce challenges, compliance requirements, and employee relations matters.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
  • Aid clients with employee handbook development, policy implementation, and HR best practices.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Advise clients on compensation strategies, organizational structure, and employee engagement programs.
  • Ensure client compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance related to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, COBRA, OSHA, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and other employment-related requirements.
  • Conduct HR audits and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Stay current on employment law changes and communicate updates to clients.
  • Partner with internal teams to support benefit administration and payroll-related inquiries.
  • Aid clients with open enrollment activities, employee communications, and benefits education.
  • Support the resolution of payroll, benefits, and HRIS-related issues.
  • Deliver HR-related training and presentations for clients and their employees.
  • Educate managers on effective leadership, employee relations, performance management, and compliance topics.
  • Develop resources and tools that help clients improve HR effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in a PEO, ASO, consulting, or multi-client HR environment.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of multi-state employment practices and regulations.
