Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for PEO clients.
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with business owners and client leadership teams.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review HR initiatives, workforce challenges, compliance requirements, and employee relations matters.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
- Aid clients with employee handbook development, policy implementation, and HR best practices.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.
- Advise clients on compensation strategies, organizational structure, and employee engagement programs.
- Ensure client compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance related to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, COBRA, OSHA, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and other employment-related requirements.
- Conduct HR audits and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Stay current on employment law changes and communicate updates to clients.
- Partner with internal teams to support benefit administration and payroll-related inquiries.
- Aid clients with open enrollment activities, employee communications, and benefits education.
- Support the resolution of payroll, benefits, and HRIS-related issues.
- Deliver HR-related training and presentations for clients and their employees.
- Educate managers on effective leadership, employee relations, performance management, and compliance topics.
- Develop resources and tools that help clients improve HR effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience handling employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in a PEO, ASO, consulting, or multi-client HR environment.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration.
- Knowledge of multi-state employment practices and regulations.
