Penn Medicine Clinician (Department of Cardiovascular Medicine)

About the role

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, seeks a Penn Medicine Clinician for the Heart and Vascular Center at Penn Medicine Radnor. The center is a state‑of‑the‑art ambulatory facility opened in 2020, handling approximately 2,500 new patient visits and 14,000 return visits annually, with an active diagnostic center performing 4,000 echocardiograms, 600 stress echocardiograms, and 450 nuclear perfusion stress tests each year. The practice is tightly integrated with the larger cardiovascular division at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The appointment is initially for one year, with continuation and renewal based on satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient consultative cardiology.
• Interpret non‑invasive cardiology imaging.
• Cover inpatient services as required.
• Participate in teaching opportunities with cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students.

Requirements

• M.D. degree.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
• DEA licensure.
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine.
• Preferred: Level III echocardiographic training.
• Demonstrated excellence in education, teaching, and clinical care.
• 0‑1 year of related work experience.
• As Associated Faculty, complete a minimum of 50 hours per year of active, high‑quality teaching or equivalent service.
• Clinical effort expected to be 95% clinical and 5% education.

Pay

Pay Range $20,000.00 - $350,000.00 Annual Rate. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
