This role is based at Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center, a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital featuring a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women’s imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide services that restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.
• Restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health for patients with physical limitations.
• Examine patients’ medical histories and assess strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• 1 year of experience required (waived with a strong recommendation from an acute care or outpatient clinical affiliation).
• Current valid NJ State Physical Therapy license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physical Therapy.
• 2 years’ experience.
• Experience with electronic health records.

Pay

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include additional pay components such as differentials and call pay based on the role.
