Pega Platform Admin

Role Summary

Pega Platform Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Pega applications across environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Environment Management: Provision, configure, and maintain Pega DEV, QA, UAT environments.
• Performance Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, ELK to analyze logs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize system performance.
• Tuning: Gain a good understanding of PAL, PLA tools and apply Pega hotfixes, patches, and version upgrades while maintaining compliance and security standards.
• Incident Management: Respond to and troubleshoot application problems, perform root cause analysis, deploy Pega applications, and manage product rule pipeline deployments and version upgrades.
• System Health Monitoring: Monitor system health using PDC, Pega Diagnostic Cloud, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch.
• Tune Node types, web vs batch, thread pools, agents, queue processors to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Pega Expertise: Deep knowledge of Pega Infinity software, PRPC architecture, and Application Server configuration.
• RCA: Perform Root Cause Analysis for Node failures, Queue processor issues, Search indexing problems, Stream Kafka failures.
• Analyze Logs: Analyze Pega RULES logs, Kubernetes pod logs.
• Cloud Proficiency: Experience with Private AWS services, GitHub Actions, Docker, OpenShift, K8S with Cloud native best practices, hands-on experience in Azure AKS, Azure Services, Azure migration experience.
• Automation Skills: Experience with automation tools like UNIX Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Linux, Java, networking fundamentals, and database management (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Communication: Strong collaborative skills for team projects and on-call rotation participation.
