Peer Support Specialist (On-Call)

What You Will Do
- Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served to help them explore, create, and meet their recovery goals.
- Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture, ensuring each member’s perspective is recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming.
- Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for individuals experiencing emergencies related to mental health or addiction challenges.
What You Bring To The Table (Must Have)
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A Peer Certification must be maintained throughout employment, within 90 days after date of hire.
- In California: Obtain Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA prior to date of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
- Experience as a beneficiary of the Behavioral Health system of care.
- A valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
- A willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
