Crisis Stabilization Program
The Wellspring Crisis Stabilization Program assists adults experiencing an acute psychiatric episode. Services include:
- 24/7 care
- Intensive treatment
- Close monitoring with high levels of staff support
- Medications prescribed by a psychiatrist, if necessary
- Services provided in a homelike setting
- Two locations: Samuel B. Todd Center and David J. Block Center
- Licensed and accredited crisis stabilization services
Peer Support Specialist Summary
Peer Specialists are active members of the CSU multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing:
- Safety and support for client wellbeing
- Supportive counseling and crisis intervention
- Advice and consultation from the clinical team
- Life skills training via individual and group sessions
- Documentation of services during each shift worked
Special Skills and Requirements
- Identify as a mental health consumer and willing to share personal experience of recovery
- Belief in recovery from mental illness with empathy and compassion
- Experience providing peer support services to clients with serious mental illness and substance use disorders
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle essential for transporting clients
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Adult Peer Support Certification and Kentucky certification required
Pay and Schedule
$15 - $18 / hour
Part-time positions available for approximately 10 hours per week on 1st and 2nd shifts.
