Crisis Peer Support Specialist
Job Summary
Work in a dynamic, short-term residential treatment program to help support stabilization and continuity of care for adult individuals experiencing a crisis episode. This Peer Support Specialist (PSS) position will work to serve clients in a residential setting.
About the Role
The PSS will provide peer support for clients working on ongoing stabilization with therapeutic interventions, relapse prevention services, and facilitate transition and linkage for continuity of care to individuals experiencing challenges with mental health and/or substance abuse, homelessness, and criminal justice involvement within the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist with guiding and coordinating clients' treatment planning to include their desired goals and identified tasks for client self-care through lived experience and applicable skill sets.
- Work alongside the multi-disciplinary team staff to comply with and adhere to contractual criteria, agency guidelines, and program requirements.
- Engage with other community supporting stakeholders to promote cohesive, comprehensive, quality, and effective therapeutic diversion and deflection for individuals to be able to establish a productive and positive foundation for sustainable, independent, and healthier living.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Peer Specialist Supervisor Certification (PSS).

Pay
$21.66 an hour, plus an additional 18% crisis stipend. Position may be eligible for an additional shift differential pay. Second Shift: $3.25/hour. Third Shift: $7.25/hour. Weekend Shift: $8.00/hour.
Schedule
Full-Time. Workdays: Monday - Friday. Workhours: 6:00PM - 10:00PM.
