Core Responsibilities
- Deliver peer sessions that normalize challenges, instill hope, and reinforce therapeutic progress.
- Meet individuals where they are, helping those who feel hesitant find their own internal reasons for engagement.
- Lead virtual groups focused on wellbeing tools and psycho-education.
- Escalate to crisis protocols to assess safety and initiate clinical handoffs to psychotherapists when necessary.
Who We Need
- A current and unrestricted peer support certification (e.g., CPS-MH or state equivalent).
- Certified Older Adult Peer Specialist (COAPS) or Digital Certified Older Adult Peer Support Specialists (D-COAPS) a plus.
- Personal history of anxiety and/or depression that you can leverage to instill hope.
- Health-tech experience is a plus.
- An authentic commitment to meeting every patient with curiosity and respect, ensuring those from marginalized backgrounds feel genuinely seen.
- A strong interest in supporting adults 65+ with patience and awareness of their unique medical and generational needs.
- Experience leading peer or educational groups is a plus.
- Comfort with digital platforms and a methodical approach to troubleshooting hiccups with patience.
