About the role

The role of Peer Support Specialist involves providing emotional support and guidance to individuals within a community setting. Responsibilities include facilitating group sessions, offering one-on-one counseling, and coordinating with other support services.

Responsibilities

  • Document progress and maintain confidentiality

Requirements

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Experience working with diverse populations and excellent communication skills are required.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a relevant field, certification in a mental health profession, and experience in a similar role.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport quickly, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential.
