Peer Support Specialist
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Peer Specialist is to assist clients affected by mental and physical health and/or substance use concerns in achieving their desired life outcomes. The PS provides all services in a person-centered, trauma-informed care, and culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. The PS acts as a model of recovery by sharing their lived experience to bring hope and engages clients by providing education, advocacy, and/or outreach. The PS is advanced in their recovery and is willing and able to share their recovery story in a positive, motivational manner.
About the Role
The PS works collaboratively with a treatment team to support each client's whole health and recovery goals. The PS performs their job duties in the community and/or clinic. Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
Requirements
- Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Certified Peer Provider, Mental Health Peer Specialist (MHPS).
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- One year of direct client care experience in mental health.

Pay
$21.66 an hour.
Schedule
Full-Time. Workdays: Monday - Friday. Workhours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (some flexibility permissible).
