About the role
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and recovery-oriented Peer Support Coordinator to lead Peer Wellness Center operations and community-based peer support services.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and support Peer Support Specialists
- Cook up daily operations of Peer Wellness Centers and community-based peer support programs
- Provide direct peer support services and recovery-focused guidance
- Develop staff schedules, ensure program coverage, and support service quality
- Lead recovery groups, wellness activities, and community engagement efforts
- Aid participants in identifying goals, building coping skills, accessing resources, and strengthening independence
- Assist in outreach, partnerships, and community awareness initiatives
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with program requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Lived experience with mental health recovery, substance use recovery, and/or behavioral health challenges
- Previous leadership, supervisory, peer support, recovery support, or behavioral health experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, scheduling, and computer skills
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between service locations
- Ability to obtain required peer support certification and CPR/First Aid certification
