Essential Duties
- Process incoming patients including basic orientation to program rules
- Support treatment plans by reporting client observations and support decisions concerning therapy, discipline and privilege (at a minimum twice per shift and subject to change depending on need)
- Assists case manager/counselor with client activities by implementing scheduled and/or requested activities
- Works cooperatively with members of the nursing and medical staff to monitor clients' vital signs, observe urine drops, monitor self-administration of medications, monitor clients, and chart all pertinent data
- Performs room and facility checks, at varying intervals, to ensure client's comfort, safety, and well-being
Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Essential Duties
- Conduct recovery oriented and educational groups under the direction of the Program Manager
- Engage patients in treatment through motivational interviewing and motivational enhancement techniques
- Assist with monitoring patient engagement and communicate with the treatment team regarding patient attendance, participation and any barriers or needs to support treatment involvement
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have at least one year of recovery from substance use, mental health or co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges
- Must have certification in either Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Peer Recovery Support (CPRS), or attain certification within one year of placement in position
- Demonstrates the ability to work within agency structure, accept supervision and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, when applicable
Schedule
Tuesday - Saturday (7:00a - 3:30p) with flexibility to accommodate agency's need
Pay
$18.26 - $22.00 per hour, based on certification
