Peer Instructor Education Instructor

About the role

Instructors for the PI Education course guide sophomore and junior students hired as Peer Instructors for the First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS) program through their curriculum development process.

Responsibilities

• Teach course content
• Review and approve course curricula based on shared standards and expectations
• Absess and grade student performance in a timely manner
• Communicate students' progress to the FIGS program

Requirements

• Complete 6-8 hours of training before January 20, 2026
• Attend a weekly virtual meeting with the teaching team (date and time to be determined after hire)

Qualifications

• Familiarity with active learning techniques and curriculum development
• Experience supervising and/or teaching student leaders
• Understanding of the first-year experience
