About the role
Instructors for the PI Education course guide sophomore and junior students hired as Peer Instructors for the First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS) program through their curriculum development process.
Responsibilities
- Teach course content
- Review and approve course curricula based on shared standards and expectations
- Absess and grade student performance in a timely manner
- Communicate students' progress to the FIGS program
Requirements
- Complete 6-8 hours of training before January 20, 2026
- Attend a weekly virtual meeting with the teaching team (date and time to be determined after hire)
Qualifications
- Familiarity with active learning techniques and curriculum development
- Experience supervising and/or teaching student leaders
- Understanding of the first-year experience
