Peer Health Coach

About the role

The Peer Health Coach is responsible for providing support and guidance to students in various health-related areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students
• Facilitate group workshops on topics such as stress management, nutrition, and mental health
• Assist in the development and implementation of health promotion initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience in a healthcare or counseling setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Knowledge of common health issues among college students
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build rapport and trust with students
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
