The Healing Collaborative
Our signature program, The Healing Collaborative, is an intersectional healing community for BIPOC who struggle with food and/or body image. The program consists of a communal recovery space and 1-on-1 peer support.
Responsibilities
- Run the 8-week program, twice a week using pre-established curricula
- Actively engage with participants
- Create a safe environment
- Foster healing
Qualifications
- Lived experience with disordered eating and/or a challenging relationship with food and body image
- Previous facilitation experience preferred
- Recovered/healed/in recovery for 2+ years
- Willing to share healing/recovery journey with members
- 21 years or older
- Live in North America
- Identify as a Black, Indigenous, and/or Person of Color
- A willingness to learn (and unlearn)
Benefits
- Share your experiences and provide guidance to those who need support
- Leadership and Training: Facilitators will receive trainings once per year, and regular check-ins to ensure you are supported
- Recommendation: After 6-12 months, you will receive a character and skill reference letter on request (for management, other volunteer positions, etc)

Skills
- Empathy
- Able to adapt content and discussions to the needs of the group
- Skillfull in promoting overlooked voices in community spaces
Availability
- Available to run community sessions in the following time frames:
- Mondays and Wednesdays, between 8 PM ET and 10 PM ET
