About the role
The ideal candidate will have a clinical focus and experience in caring for children and adolescents undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This physician will have a minimum 50% of his/her clinical time dedicated to bone marrow transplant.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a supportive, integrated team
- Provide care for approximately 90 new oncology patients, 15 stem cell/marrow transplant patients, 160 sickle cell patients and 540 bleeding disorder patients each year
- Participate in research and contribute to the future of pediatric health care
- Expand skills and pursue leadership roles
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Minimum 50% clinical time dedicated to bone marrow transplant
- Experience in caring for children and adolescents undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
- Completion of an accredited pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting
