Key Responsibilities

• Conducting initial assessments, including obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and relevant medical information.
• Assisting the healthcare provider during patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Explaining medical procedures and treatment plans to patients, answering questions, and offering health-related guidance.
• Administering prescribed medications and injections, under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner.
• Collecting specimens for lab tests, processing orders, and maintaining lab results.
• Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently in the EMR system. EPIC experience is a plus!
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Contacting patients to schedule appointments, follow up on test results, and check in on their health status.
• Managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth clinical environment.

Requirements

• Current certification or licensure: Ohio MA certification or PN license is required.
• Excellent communication skills: Must be able to interact effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
• Attention to detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in primary care: Previous experience in a clinical setting, especially in primary care, is preferred but not required.
