Pediatric Surgeon
Overview
Labela is seeking U.S.-based Pediatric Surgeons at every career stage, from board-certified attendings and fellows to senior residents (PGY-2 and above), for high-level clinical consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Logic Auditing: Review and refine AI-generated diagnostic and treatment strategies to ensure alignment with ACS/APSA standards.
High-Complexity Validation: Provide expert-level ground truth for intricate pediatric surgical case presentations, operative imaging review, and surgical candidacy.
Safety Oversight: Identify clinical inaccuracies or hallucinations in AI outputs that could impact patient safety or triage decisions.
Strategic Consulting: Advise on the development of AI-driven clinical decision support tools for pediatric surgical care.
Qualifications
Credentials: Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Surgery (ABS), or a current senior resident or fellow (PGY-2 or above) training in the field.
Experience: 2+ years of postgraduate clinical training. Established attendings and senior trainees are equally welcome.
Citizenship: Must be based in the United States.
Communication: Ability to provide concise, technical feedback on complex clinical cases.

Environment: 100% Remote
Commitment: Flexible, project-based hours designed to fit around a clinical or training schedule.
This engagement runs July 30 to August 31, 2026.
Location Focus: We are prioritizing candidates based in California for this cohort, though the role is fully remote across the United States.
