About the role
The Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Mass General Brigham for Children (MGBfC) are seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time appointment as an Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor to join the Pediatric Surgery team. This position includes both an MGH and Harvard Medical School appointment.
MGBfC is part of a large network providing pediatric care throughout Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Pediatric surgeons provide clinical care in a collaborative and academic environment, including supervising and teaching medical students and surgical trainees. Research participation is encouraged.
MGBfC is the only children’s hospital within Mass General Brigham, an integrated healthcare system with 14 hospitals, 20,000 deliveries annually, and a provider network of over 300 pediatricians. The Division of Pediatric Surgery at MGH is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and a Pediatric ECMO Center of Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level clinical care in pediatric surgery
- Supervise and teach medical students and surgical trainees
- Participate in research initiatives
- Contribute to a team-based, family-centered care environment
Requirements
- MD degree
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Board certification or eligibility in Surgery
- Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Surgery

Candidates with strong clinical skills in pediatric surgery and a focus on teamwork are encouraged to apply. Academic rank at Harvard Medical School will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and achievements.
