About the role
Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is seeking Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) to provide in-home therapy services for children with communication, feeding, and developmental needs. The role involves working under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver high-quality, one-on-one therapy that helps children build essential communication and functional skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver speech therapy interventions under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist
- Support children with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing needs
- Aid in improving functional communication and independence
- Educate and guide families on therapy carryover techniques
- Monitor patient progress and report updates to the supervising Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Carefully document all therapy services in EMR
- Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license (Texas)
- At least 1+ year of pediatric or home health experience
- Experience with feeding and swallowing therapy
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
