About the role
The role involves providing diagnostic and treatment services for children and youth, as well as supervising psychology assistants within a collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency in the evaluation of individuals through the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological testing measures.
- Demonstrates skills in provision of individual and/or group therapy through utilization of best practice, evidence-based theoretical approaches.
- Creates clinical documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.
- Demonstrates ability to consult effectively with other agencies, schools, the public, and other professionals as required.
- Fulfills or exceeds billable service expectations established by Harbor.
- Provides crisis intervention as needed.
- Supervises the work of Psychology Assistants/Assistants to Psychology according to OPA ethical code and licensure limitations.
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
Requirements
- Holds a current license to practice psychology in the state of Ohio.
- Maintains active licensure in good standing.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
- CPR/First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment and renewed every 24 months.
- NCI/CPI Certification required within 90 days of employment and renewed every 24 months.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.
- Competency in completion of assessment, psychological testing evaluations, treatment plan development, and provision of empirically supported treatment methods.
- Experience completing evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Skills
- Effective communication and consultation skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
