What You’ll Do
- Provide inpatient consult-liaison psychological services within Renown Children’s Hospital
- Support children and adolescents with chronic and acute medical conditions (e.g., oncology, GI, endocrinology, neurology, etc.)
- Deliver evidence-based interventions addressing:
- Adjustment to illness
- Pain management
- Adherence and coping
- Family systems and caregiver support
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and experience
- Contribute to program development and expansion of pediatric behavioral health services
Academic & Teaching Opportunities
- Formal affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine
- Opportunities to teach and supervise:
- Medical students
- Pediatric and psychiatry residents
- Child & adolescent psychiatry fellows
- Engage in scholarly activities or program innovation, if desired
About the Role
Renown Health—northern Nevada’s only locally owned, not-for-profit integrated academic health system—is seeking a Pediatric Psychologist specializing in inpatient consult-liaison care to join our team at Renown Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health Team.
This is a unique opportunity to support medically complex children and adolescents with chronic conditions while working closely with their families and an interdisciplinary pediatric team.
