Pediatric Physical Therapist Outpatient Rehab

About the role

This role provides therapy to patients based on patient need and medical direction. It includes providing patient/caregiver education and arranging for adaptive equipment as needed. The primary focus is on pediatrics but opportunities exist to work with other patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation procedures to assess the level of disability and make appropriate recommendations.
• Develops and implements a treatment program to restore and return maximal function to the patient.
• Affirms the effectiveness of treatment and modifies goals and treatment methods as necessary.
• Trains other rehabilitation staff, nursing, medical personnel, and students about patient needs and rehabilitation services.
• Participates in ongoing process improvement, patient satisfaction initiatives, program development, and marketing activities.
• Maintains productivity as per department standards.
• Improves skill areas through continuing education, participation in competencies, and development of new patient care concepts.

Requirements

• Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited physical therapy program.
• PREFERRED: Master's Degree.
• RECOMMENDED: 6 months of relevant experience.
• LIC-Physical Therapist - State of Michigan upon hire required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC required within 90 days.
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Spectrum Health Lakeland Upon Hire required OR
• CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Spectrum Health Lakeland Upon Hire required OR
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Spectrum Health Lakeland 90 Days required OR
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Spectrum Health Lakeland 90 Days required.

Qualifications

• Required: Physical Therapist License in the State of Michigan.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.
• Required: Abdominal (AB) or Ob/Gyn (OB) certification from ARDMS.

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour, up to $15,000 in incentives for eligible candidates.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
