ROLE of the POSITION
The UNLV School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology, is seeking a Fellowship trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level. We are an academic Otolaryngology practice with a residency program and 8 full-time faculty, with a busy Pediatric Otolaryngology practice.
Responsibilities
- Care of advanced Pediatric Otolaryngology diseases
- Teaching (of residents and medical students)
- Clinical research
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- Residency from an ACGME accredited program prior to starting employment
- Board eligible/certified in Otolaryngology
- Completion of an Accredited Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship required
- Educational credentials, terminal degree, experience in an academic medical institution or equivalency, research and scholarly activity will be considered in determining the candidate’s recommended rank
Qualifications
- Eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, Nevada pharmacy and DEA licenses, and malpractice insurance
- Ability to obtain privileges at affiliated hospitals and other site locations as needed
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with pediatric patients
