Pediatric Otolaryngologist (ENT)

Inova Health System in Fairfax, VA is seeking a qualified surgeon for their expanding Pediatric Otolaryngology department. The position is based at Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital and the new Pediatric Multispecialty Ambulatory Practice at Willow Oaks.

  • Facility: 226-bed level 1 pediatric trauma center, 45-bed pediatric ER (opened December 2024), 108-bed level 4 NICU, 48-bed PCICU/PICU

  • Location: Home to over 20 pediatric specialties, with ongoing specialty additions

Job Responsibilities

  • Staffed by 2 fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologists and 2 advanced practice providers

  • Wide range of pediatric ENT cases and pathologies, including complex aerodigestive conditions, craniofacial disorders, vascular malformations, and complex otology, including cochlear implants and BAHAs

  • Busy outpatient practice and inpatient unit/ER coverage (advanced practice providers assist during weekdays)

  • Roughly 1:5 call schedule, currently covering NICU/PICU patients and infants under 12 months

  • Coverage for facial trauma by Plastic Surgery and OMFS

  • State-of-the-art ORs with the latest technology and instruments

  • Epic EMR system used throughout all clinical sites

  • Research opportunities available

Qualifications

  • Education: Completed or in process of completing an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology

  • Certification: Board-certified/eligible in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery; Certification in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology recommended

  • Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia

  • Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete credentialing processes by third-party payors

  • Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges
