About the role
The successful candidate will have completed an ACGME-accredited residency program and be Board Eligible/Board Certified.
Responsibilities
- Triage and care for ENT patients using accepted standards of practice.
- Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete history, physical examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral, and use all available resources in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner.
- Treat patients and perform services in the ENT clinic.
- Reasonably participate in medical education of residents as deemed necessary by the Residency Program Director and the Chairperson of Surgery.
- Interact with surgical and consulting physicians, outside departments, nursing and ancillary personnel to improve patient care.
- Make appropriate specialty and subspecialty referrals, but maintains responsibility, assuring continuing of care.
- Perform administrative and other related duties as reasonably directed by the Chairperson of Surgery.
- Participate in regular call coverage.
- Support the activities of the ENT division and the Surgery Department inclusive of quality improvement/assurance activities.
- Attend and participates in St. Joseph’s Health activities as requested.
- Complete records in adequate professional detail, and in a timely manner using electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Qualifications
- M.D./D.O. who is Board Certified/Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program
- Medical license to practice in the State of New Jersey
