Pediatric Occupational Therapist -South

About the role

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for disabled patients. This role also establishes and maintains a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes, and personal safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric developmental needs including fine motor delay, sensory disorders, handwriting, and object manipulation.
• Comfortable with complex medical diagnosis, sensory processing disorder, emotional regulation issues, and autism.
• Located at the Stones Crossing clinic.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited OT program is required.
• Valid Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting working with pediatric patients preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.
• Effective in providing quality service to impaired individuals and communicating with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
• Incorporates a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
