Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT)

General Summary

The BY YOUR SIDE Occupational Therapist (OT) collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain therapy plans addressing sensory processing, attention, executive functioning, fine motor, gross motor, self help, ADLs, adaptive play and leisure skills. The role involves providing individual and group therapy, educating caregivers, and adhering to ethical standards and HIPAA compliance.

Direct Therapy Responsibilities

• Provide a minimum of 32 hours of therapy per week.
• Maintain timely professional documentation of clinical notes for direct patient care provided.
• Complete documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• State Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Completed and maintains certification in CPI training.
• CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to train on site.
• Knowledge of discipline-specific assessment tools and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
