Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess developmental, sensory, motor, and self-care abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique needs.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, coordination, and self-care abilities.
- Educate parents and caregivers on home programs and therapeutic techniques.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
- Stay current with evidence-based pediatric occupational therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of the NBCOT examination.
- Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for North Dakota licensure.
- One year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain after hire.
