Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess developmental, sensory, motor, and self-care abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique needs.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, coordination, and self-care abilities.
• Educate parents and caregivers on home programs and therapeutic techniques.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
• Stay current with evidence-based pediatric occupational therapy practices.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the NBCOT examination.
• Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for North Dakota licensure.
• One year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of occupational therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain after hire.
