Pediatric Nurse Temp

About the role

Our client is seeking a Pediatric Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care to pediatric patients in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a caring and patient-focused approach, and the ability to work well with children and families. This is an onsite position based in Fairfield County, CT.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients across a range of ages and needs
• Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and overall condition, escalating concerns as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment
• Support a calm, reassuring environment for pediatric patients and their families

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional nursing experience
• BSN required
• Active, unrestricted nursing license in the state of Connecticut
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred but not required
• Experience with Epic EHR system a plus
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to build trust and rapport with young patients and their families
