Summary To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. (see attached) Registered Nurses use the nursing process to effectively plan and manage quality patient care. Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process. This is demonstrated in base-line and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated. The Professional Practice Model graphic and Duffy's caring factors are attached. This is a Contract or a Time limited position for a minimum of 13 weeks contract and extendable with notice. This position will pay $65.00 per hour with no benefits. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our MMH 6 unit. This unit provides a dynamic working environment post op surgery patients. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We offer quarterly education workshops. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:1 year of inpatient hospital experienceMedical Surgery experience as a registered nurse Responsibilities Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practiceIdentifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patientParticipates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practiceParticipates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations Credentials And Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing In lieu of Bachelors, an Associate's degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be consideredPreferred Education-Master's DegreeRegistered Nurse (RN) RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of FL, or a valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 30 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges)Basic Life Support (BLS) An applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
