The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at David Raines Community Health Centers plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to children in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Responsibilities

  • Provides direct pediatric care to clinic patients, including examination, diagnosis and treatment according to established policy and protocol.
  • Conducts thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients.
  • Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic illnesses in children, including prescribing medications as necessary.
  • Develops and implements individualized care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare team members.
  • Educates patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of health conditions.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatric Nursing.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana.
  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
