Pediatric Neurologist- Henry Ford Health- St. John Children's Center

About the role

The Pediatric Neurologist will join the growing Pediatric Subspecialty Division at Henry Ford St. John Children’s Hospital, located on the Henry Ford St. John Hospital and Medical Center campus in Detroit, MI.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 90% dedicated clinical time and 10% teaching and academic time with Pediatric Residents and Medical Students
• Mix of outpatient consultations and longitudinal neurology care
• Shared inpatient consult coverage on a rotational basis
• Manage a wide range of neurologic conditions
• Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team consisting of Pediatric Neurologists and Pediatric Nurses
• Outpatient clinic open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
• Opportunities for clinical research, quality improvement, and academic scholarship

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Neurology Fellowship program
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Neurology
• Demonstrated interest or experience in resident and medical student teaching is highly desirable
• Interest or experience in clinical research, QI projects, or subspecialty program development is a plus

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current license to practice medicine in Michigan

• Strong interest in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students
• Experience in clinical research and quality improvement
