Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician/Healthcare Epidemiologist
About the role
The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Utah School of Medicine is recruiting for a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician with interest and experience in Hospital Epidemiology. This position is open to both junior faculty as well as more senior faculty including those with leadership experience in Hospital Epidemiology.
Responsibilities
- A significant role in the infection prevention and hospital epidemiology program
- Clinical consultation on the inpatient service and in the Infectious Diseases clinic
- Carry out clinical activities at Primary Children's Hospital and in the University of Utah and Intermountain Healthcare systems
- Expectation for academic work that can include investigation, education, administration/service and/or advocacy
- Involvement in quality improvement projects, combined epi/stewardship projects and research
- Participation in the highly infectious response team
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Infectious Diseases or Infectious Diseases
- Demonstrated research, quality improvement skills, or other scholarly activity
Qualifications
- Experience in pediatric infectious diseases and hospital epidemiology
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
