Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist

About the role

The NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases is seeking a full-time faculty position. The hospital is a 591-bed facility with 5,100 deliveries annually, featuring a level 3 NICU and inpatient/outpatient pediatric services.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital consultations and care at the outpatient ID office.
• Engage in medical education of students and pediatric residents.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives to prevent hospital-acquired infections.

• Involvement in inpatient & outpatient antimicrobial stewardship and IPC programs.
• Collaboration with the Vaccine Center at NYU Langone Health on pediatric clinical trials.
• Clinical and research collaboration with Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital.

Requirements

• Board-certified in Pediatrics and Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Licensure in the State of New York.
• Preference for candidates completing their fellowship or early in their post-training career.
