Pediatric In-Home & Acute Care Registered Nurse (Float)

About the role

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech‑enabled, pediatrician‑led medical group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first‑and‑in‑home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans to break down barriers to quality care. This role requires at least 80% travel to support episodic in‑home care operations across various markets. Applicants must reside in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, or the District of Columbia. Active RN compact licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to members’ homes and community settings to deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent pediatric care.
• Build trusted, compassionate relationships with children and families, ensuring coordinated, culturally responsive care.
• Collaborate within an integrated care team including physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists.
• Conduct and document in‑home assessments; perform procedures such as ear irrigation, point‑of‑care testing, IV placement and lab draws, wound care, and medication administration.
• Provide patient and family education, follow‑up care, and care coordination using the Imagine Pediatrics platform.
• Flex into the virtual acute care RN role to conduct virtual assessments and manage urgent pediatric needs using established protocols.
• Document care in the EMR (Athena) and communicate with families through Imagine Pediatrics’ proprietary application.
• Utilize virtual platforms and digital tools confidently to support care delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active RN compact license (required).
• PALS & BLS certification (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) (required).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time and drive long distances in varied weather conditions.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in the home environment.
• Comfort with EMRs, virtual platforms, and mobile documentation tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of pediatric nursing experience, ideally including high‑acuity settings (ED, urgent care, transport, or similar).
• 1–2 years in pediatric emergency medicine experience.
• EMS (EMT/P) experience and 2+ years of pediatric home care experience (preferred).
• Bilingual Spanish (preferred).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 10 am – 6 pm local time with flexibility based on member needs, visit locations, and virtual acute care support.

Pay

Base hourly range of $46 / hr – $52 / hr, plus an annual bonus incentive. Compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
