Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to optimize antibiotic use in children by guiding evidence-based prescribing, monitoring resistance trends, developing treatment protocols, providing necessary education and collaborating with clinicians to improve patient outcomes while reducing unnecessary antimicrobial exposure.
- Function as part of the MUSC Antimicrobial Stewardship pharmacy team and participate in stewardship staffing and cross-coverage as deemed necessary.
- Play an integral role in the MUSC Health ID PGY2 residency program.
Qualifications
- PharmD degree from an ACPE accredited college or university.
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in South Carolina.
- Board certification in Pharmacotherapy preferred.
- Experience in pediatric infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Expertise in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
- Knowledge of antimicrobial resistance and its impact on patient care.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
