Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Routinely and continually provide pharmaceutical care for patients, considering their age and clinical condition
  • Provide general and patient specific drug information to patients, physicians, nurses and, and other health care professionals
  • Support Clinical Pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients by direct interaction and formal educational programs
  • Maintain expertise in areas of practice through continual learning, journal review and other educational activities
  • Educate Clinical Pharmacists, Technicians, Pharmacy Students, Post-Graduate Trainees and other caregivers in Pharmacotherapy within in the specialty area

Qualifications

  • PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire
  • Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 2 Residency (PGY2) or fellowship OR completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY-1) and two years of experience as a Clinical Specialist or an equivalent role, including providing pharmaceutical care and performing pharmacotherapeutic monitoring for at least 50% of time in the specialty area OR four years of experience as a Clinical Specialist or an equivalent role, including providing pharmaceutical care and performing pharmacotherapeutic monitoring for at least 50% of time in the specialty area

Skills

Provide general and patient specific drug information to patients, physicians, nurses and, and other health care professionals.

Support Clinical Pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients by direct interaction and formal educational programs.

Pay

Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary: $101,900.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $155,390.00

Schedule

The position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting. Must have normal or corrected vision. Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
