Pediatric Hospitalist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

This role involves providing pediatric inpatient and emergency room care at a Level IV trauma facility with a 25-bed department. The pediatric hospitalist will be responsible for 24-hour call coverage, managing newborn births, pediatric admissions, and ongoing care for admitted patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and ER pediatric care on-site
• Manage newborn deliveries and pediatric admissions
• Admit patients from the ER and oversee their ongoing treatment
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including rounding and patient management

Qualifications and Skills

• Board certification in Pediatrics (negotiable)
• Ability to provide 24-hour call coverage in inpatient and ER settings
• Experience in managing pediatric patient populations
• Strong clinical and communication skills
