Job Duties
- Clinical responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and performance of general GI procedures.
- The candidate is expected to participate in the supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology.
- Outpatient clinical care for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.
- Inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room consultation for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.
- General pediatric gastrointestinal procedures (e.g., upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures).
Minimum Qualifications
- M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree, or equivalent
- Completion of an ACGME approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent)
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
- Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine (or eligible for same)
