Pediatric Endocrinologist, Physician Scientist

About the role

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Nemours Children’s Health, Jacksonville is seeking applications for a talented Pediatric Endocrinologist Physician Scientist to join our faculty. Our program is the premier center for the care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders and diabetes in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive endocrine care to children and adolescents with a wide range of endocrine disorders and diabetes.
• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines for endocrine care.
• Contribute to the advancement of clinical research in the field of endocrinology, particularly focusing on disorders of growth, puberty, and type 1 diabetes.
• Collaborate with other specialists, including pediatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to provide multidisciplinary care.
• Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in the field of endocrinology.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote awareness and education about endocrine disorders and diabetes.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with current medical license in the United States.
• Board certification in Pediatrics and Endocrinology.
• Experience in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes management.
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field (PhD).
• Experience in translational research and clinical trials.
• Track record of securing external funding for research projects.
• Interest in interdisciplinary research collaborations.
