Job Summary

UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC pediatric endocrinologist to join their specialized team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders while working alongside dedicated colleagues in a community-based outpatient practice with consultative inpatient coverage.

About the Role

Collaboration with experienced pediatric subspecialists and access to UW Health resources. On-site certified diabetes educators, clinical dieticians, and clinical pharmacists with expertise in pediatric care. A newly renovated, state-of-the-art clinic equipped for advanced endocrine and diabetes care. Access to an ADA-recognized diabetes education program with dedicated RN and RD educators. Built-in referral base as member of the region’s leading group for primary care providers. Extended support from pediatric specialists at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI. Academic appointment and teaching opportunities available through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • MD or DO - Required
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire - Required
  • Active Illinois medical license - Required
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology. Board certification must be obtained within 5 years - Required
  • Bi-annual CPR certification - Preferred
