Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse

About the Role

This position involves providing comprehensive pediatric and newborn critical care transport services. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, with a focus on patient and family-centered care, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations
• Participate in professional development and quality improvement activities
• Maintain a safe environment, adhering to safety-sensitive protocols

Requirements

• RN license required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of RN experience in pediatric or neonatal settings preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to shift rotations, including on-call, weekends, and holidays
