Pediatric Clinical Psychologist - Advanced Practice - Medical Behavioral Unit
Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Pediatric Clinical Psychologist provides specialized direct patient care in assigned locations, adhering to Rady Children's integrated behavioral health models and guidelines. They develop care plans, implement evidence-based therapies, and conduct diagnostic testing as per these guidelines. The psychologist recommends ongoing treatment and links children to community mental health resources/therapeutic services. They collaborate with supervisors/leaders to coordinate, plan, evaluate, and improve psychological services.
The psychologist also participates in advancing behavioral health initiatives aimed at improving pediatric health and supports the vision and innovation of integrated Psychology services at Rady Children's.
Minimum Qualifications
- BLS for Health Providers (American Heart Association)
- PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology or related field of psychology with specialization in pediatrics
- California State license
- Specialized training or certification in applicable area of work
- ADOS training and experience, PCIT certification, diagnostic testing
- 0-5 or an APA accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in pediatric psychology, sleep psychology, pain psychology, or other applicable specialty fellowship and/or certification in an advanced practice area
- 1 year clinical experience
- Successfully completes the required credentialing process for the department/area of practice
- Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented decisions within the context of patient care and department, division, and organizational priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree from APA accredited program
- 3 years post-licensure clinical experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Pay
The current salary range for this position is $58.38 to $80.28. Rady Children’s Hospital maintains competitive compensation through regular market reviews, ensuring both external and internal equity.
